Tungsten Carbide Balls

Hartford Technologies supplies tungsten carbide balls for applications where extreme hardness must be accompanied by high resistance to wear and impact. Our standard material is 94% tungsten carbide and 6% cobalt binder (industry code C2), with additional formulations by request. Available in sizes from 1.5mm to 50.8mm in ABMA grades 10 through 100.
Profile
High hardness and dimensional stability make tungsten carbide balls the preferred choice for precision hydraulic valves, high-load bearings, inertial navigation systems, ball screws, linear bearings in slideways, gauging and checking instruments, and meters. Also used for ballizing to work-harden and improve fretting fatigue strength.
Chemistry
Tungsten Carbide: 94%
Cobalt binder: 6%
Industry code: C2
Characteristics
